Again I forget, again I shop

As usual, my attempt to blog more has completely failed.. I've just been so busy these past few weeks that I've completely forgotten all about it. As I'm doing Event Management at college, I've got to plan my own event to take place in April, so I've been spending a lot of time doing that, especially outside of college. Plus trying to keep up to date with all my other college classes... Its definitely been a stressful couple of weeks to say the least! Also I've been doing more shifts in work to try and get more money for my holiday. I've still got to pay £400 by the 26th April, and I've saved £0.00.. Epic fail! I swear I'm going to try and blog more and this time I mean it. 

Anyway, here's a recap of what's happened since my last blog...

So the saturday after my last blog, I had a night out for my friends birthday and needed something new to wear.. So as usual I took a little wander into Topshop after work and ended up buying a gorgeous little coral coloured dress.. Fitted perfectly. Then the week was just spent with college and work, usual rubbish. The the friday night I decided to have a little catch up dinner date with my friend Hannah and we went to Nando's.. I had a double chicken breast fillet burger, chips and garlic bread, It was an amazing meal. Then we bumped into some friends Nicole, Oliver and Fraser and ended up going to one of their houses and having a rather drunken night in. Then as usual more work and college followed. Then I had another little dinner date with Hannah, and ended up bumping into Oliver and Fraser again, and spent the next few hours just driving around.. was a fun night. Friday night my friend Robyn from college was having a party in her house for her birthday, which was another excuse to shop. I bought some gorgeous leopard leggings from New Look, a black silk blouse from Miss Selfridges and a pair of black velvet strappy wedges from Boohoo.com. Any excuse to shop, however I did pay off some more of my holiday, so I was allowed a treat lol. Then the saturday night I was supposed to be having a quiet night in with Hannah, but we decided to just go to town instead and ending up having a rather drunken night in Kushion, bumping into a few friends and going back to one of their flats to stay. One of the funniest nights I've had in a while.. However the Sunday was spent recovering from a truly horrible hangover... not so good!

Topshop addict and blogging fail...

I said in my last blog that I was going to blog more, and surprise surprise ... I haven't. I guess I've just been far too busy recently to remember to do it. So I've decided that instead of blogging all the time, I'll just do a sort of week by week summary. Haven't decided which day I'll do my summary on, but It will probably be a Sunday night after work? Makes sense, being the end of the week. As for this post, I'm just going to do a small recap of what's happened since my last blog, so here goes ....

So the day after my last post, I went to my friend Frazer's 18th. I wore a gorgeous little black dress I bought from All Saints about a year ago and my favourite black and gold snakeskin wedges. Then during the week it was just the usual college and work... nothing exciting there. As I'm going away on holiday this summer I've been trying my very hardest not to shop, in the hope of saving money.. But I accidentally wandered into Topshop when I was out with a friend and couldn't resist buying a gorgeous pair of leather leggings, call it love at first sight.. They fit like a glove! And because of that I decided that a night out in town was needed, so I could show them off. Ending up having a rather drunken night out and didn't get home until about 4am! Whoops. The week following that was another boring college/work filled week. The Tuesday of the week was Valentines day, but instead of any romantic outings, I spent it with a friend. No love for me! I also went out for dinner with a friend from work and had an amazing meal in Nando's ... I am addicted to going there! I did have another night out on the Friday night, but It was a sober one, spent laughing at all the drunken people in the club. I wore a lovely little floral print dress from Topshop. Must admit, I rather enjoyed myself and will definitely be having more sober nights out in the future. For this week, I'll leave that until my Sunday night week summary, which will hopefully help me keep my blogging regular, I do love it once I get into it.

I absolutely love wearing my wedges out, not only are they gorgeous shoes, but they are unbelievably comfy and easy to walk in... Perfect!

 As you can probably tell, I'm a bit of a Topshop addict, I spent most of my wage in there... I just can't resit all their lovely clothes. I can't walk past the shop without going in for a quick look and 9 times out of 10 I come out having bought something..

Blogging is hard....

So my plan was to blog regularly with new updates, but that's easier said than done. I guess I just don't have the time between college, work and trying to maintain a social life! Actually forgot I had made this if I'm honest... But I'm going to try harder to blog more often, I quite enjoy it once I get into it.


Anyway, here's my recap of the past week.....


Friday I met with my friend to discuss holiday options for summer, we've decided to go away somewhere and have a few places in mind. Then Friday night I went to my friend Kayleigh's 18th in Hamilton. I wore a little strapless black dress and some black and gold snakeskin wedges that I simply adore! At first I was quite bored, but I guess it was just that awkward first hour of the party.. it always happens. But I ended up having a really good time, might have got a little too drunk.. but I made it home safe. All in all a good night :). Saturday I met up with my friend Dannielle and we booked our holiday!!! Two weeks in Kos, Greece in August... Safe to say I'm EXCITED!!!! Cannot wait. Then Sunday I was supposed to be modelling in a wedding fayre.. But the shop who was providing the dresses I was supposed to be wearing decided to not turn up. And because the other dress shop was for 'bigger' girls and I'm a size 8, I didn't have anything to wear. I was really disappointed at first, but then I decided to just spend the day visiting my Aunt instead and I actually had a really good day and got a three course Sunday dinner, Heaven<3 The rest of the week has just been college and work. Although I did have a night out in town on Wednesday night we're I got a catch up with a friend I haven't see in a while. Its been quite a good week.. Blog to you soon

Excited and nervous!!

So this weeks been pretty boring so far, not done much beside's college and work. 

Can't wait for this weekend though, its going to be great. On Friday night I'm going to a friend from college, Kayleigh's 18th birthday party .. its in Hamilton thought, so no idea how I'm getting there! Hopefully my other friend Robyn's big sister will drive us. Then on Saturday I'm helping out at a wedding show and on Sunday I'm actually modelling in it!!! I'm super excited, I get to wear three beautiful dresses and get my hair and make up done. I'm wearing a wedding dress and two prom/brides maids dresses.. They are stunning. I've done this kinda thing once before, but that was just a small show with hardly anyone watching. This time however, there's going to be loads of people watching. Safe to say I'm a little bit scared. Hopefully it all goes well though and I don't end up falling flat on my face, fingers crossed?!

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012.

2011 was a pretty interesting year for me..


Since I've started this blog in 2012 I've decided to recap the highlights of the past year, both the good and the bad, to remember the things that have happened. Then its time to focus on this year instead.


The best parts of the year


Passed all my exams in school.
Finished up my 6th year at Hillpark.
Went to my high school prom - best night ever<3
Got an unconditional to college.
Turned 18!!!
Had my first legal drink.
Lasted a full year in my job.
Got closer to so many people.
Decided what I want to do with my life.
Modelled in a wedding faire.
Changed my hair style, I'm in love!
Made so many new friends.
Became more confident in myself and how I look. 


The worst parts of the year


Was the second anniversary of my mum's death.
Lost an aunt to cancer.
Had a huge row with my best friend, we haven't spoken since.
Drifted apart from many people I used to be close to.
Had tonsillitis three times.
Almost broke my arm.


Now its time to move on, and look forward to everything this year's going to bring.
                                     I CAN'T WAIT!

A bit about me ...

Okay, so I guess I should let you's know a little bit about me. I'l start with the basics....

My name's Tanya Nicole Schaefer, I'm 18 years old and I love it.. Best age ever! I'm studying Event Management at college. Some days I love it, some days I hate it.I have a huge family, 3 brothers &two sisters. I'm the baby of the family<3, My family mean the world to me, especially my brother Keenan &i'm fiercely protective. I work part time, simply to fund my shopping addiction. I'm ridiculously lazy, and when I don't have plans I spend the majority of my time sleeping. I shop far too much, every time I have money I spend it straight away, I don't know how to save! I'm addicted to shoes, I buy at least one new pair every month. Its my dream to own a pair of Louboutin's. I want to travel the world and eventually end up living somewhere were its sunny all the time, my idea of heaven<3.

I love photographs, two of my four bedroom walls are covered in them. I tend to save silly memento's of days that I've enjoyed, one of my walls is covered in concert tickets, badges, key rings, train tickets, confetti, wristbands etc. I like to talk, a lot. I never shut up! I'm easily amused, it doesn't take a lot to make me smile. I love watching cheesy movies, girly chick flicks make me happy. I wish I was a teenager growing up in the 80s, I'm obsessed with everything from the hair to the clothes to the songs. It just seems like such a fun decade to be in. I'l watch any film set in the 80s, especially ones with Molly Ringwald in them!. Music makes me happy, no matter what. I never stop eating.

I'm new to this, its exciting?!

So I've decided to start a blog, not for any real reason other than I want to give it a try. I'm not really sure what your supposed to write in a blog? So it will mostly just be about things that happen to me or that I'm wondering about or interest me etc. I can't promise what I write will be interesting to anyone other than myself..
