Holidays on my mind...

So I haven't posted in a while but I've been so busy with all the over time I'm doing at work. Just trying to save up as much money as possible for this holiday. I can't wait to go, pretty much so I can stop stressing about money and just enjoy myself. I've got about £1530 dollars so far and I'll hopefully have another £200 to change over to dollars after I get paid at the end of the month. And I've finally started to buy some holiday clothes as well now that I've only got 16days to go. I'm beyond excited, every time I think about it. I've already bought myself a few cute bodycon dresses and a couple cute pairs of shorts. I'm planning on dressing super cute and casual for during the day and then totally sexy and fun at night. I'm also looking to buy a pretty, hot plunge one piece swimsuit for the Fourth of July, for a hot pool party!!

I've been hitting the gym a lot, except over the past two weeks I've not been that much as I've been unwell. But I have lost weight and my stomach is a lot flatter which is great. My bum has also gotten bigger (too many squats in the gym! Haha) and it looks a lot more defined which is amazing. I've still got two more weeks of being able to go to the gym so so I hopefully just want to slim down my thighs a bit more and I'll be so happy.

I've been doing really well with my diet but I had a little cheat day last weekend as I was feeling so unwell. I've also been obsessively drinking green tea as I've heard that is really good for your skin and can help prevent spots (I want my skin looking as great as possible on holiday). I've also been doing my teeth whitening using my Crest 3D whitening strips and my teeth are looking so white, and I've still got a few more strips to go so they should be looking quite amazing by the time I'm done using them. (fingers crossed)

Anyway, thats enough for now.

Health is wealth..

So I've been working hard in the gym lately. I've went eight times in the past two weeks.. Including yesterday which shows my dedication since Sunday is supposed to be a total lazy day. But like I've said before I'm so determined to loose weight for my holiday. (But to be honest I'm still not seeing any change which is super annoying but hopefully over the next few weeks I'll start to see more of a change.) I've still got five more weeks of being able to go to the gym before my holiday so hopefully that's enough to see a real change. I've also changed up my diet and I'm trying really hard to eat super healthy and cut out all the crap I've been eating. It's pretty tough, but I know it will be so worth it when I'm on that beach in Miami looking great.

I've also decided to give Crest 3D Luxe whitening strips a try to whiten my teeth for my holiday because I just don't think the Cocowhite coconut oil is doing anything and it's also super disgusting so I can't keep doing it for long. Hopefully the strips will be easier as you just put them on your teeth and then leave them for about half an hour. I've got to do them for 30minutes everyday for 20days and hopefully there should be a real improvement.

I ordered my travel money card for my holiday and I put £1000 on it which has given me $1530. I'm aiming to have another £500 so that I have enough money to have roughly $150 per day because I'm unsure how much things are going to cost and if things will be expensive or cheaper than here. Id definitely  much rather have too much money than too little. I've still not bought any clothes for my holiday but I'm going to wait until a little bit neither the time before I start shopping. Plus I'm going to have to sort though all the clothes I have right now and see what stuff I can take with me.

Anyway, that's enough for now.

Gym Life❤️

So I joined the gym last week and I booked in for a session with one of the fitness instructors to create me a workout programme. First of I was weighed and messured and my body fat percentage and bmi was taken to see where I'm at fitness wise, this is also handy for comparing in a few weeks to see if I'm making progress. (Because if I'm not making any progress then what is the point?!) So my programme starts off with using the row machine to warm up before stretching and then doing 20minutes of internal training on the tredmill. Then I move on to resistance training using different weight machines two different machines that work on my arms and two different machines that work on my legs. After the weights I use hand weights to do lunges and squats and then I use the weight balls to do some ab work and then I cool down and stretch and I'm finished. This work out normally takes about 1hour to 1&half hours long, and I've been pretty knackered after each session. I've been today and yesterday and I'm planning on going again on Thursday and Friday at least this week.

I've also been eating majorly healthy everyday, eating tons of salad and fish and baked potatoes and tons of fruit. As well as making my self loads of delicious smoothies. I use frozen raspberries, blackberries, red currants, black currents, mango &passion fruit frozen yoghurt and orange juice... and they are super filling!

I'm so determined to get into great shape for this holiday and to lose weight. So I'm definitely going to stick to this healthy eating/working out plan.

This week I also purchased tickets for myself, my sister and my niece to go see Bugsy Malone in London. After my holiday to America I'm taking my niece to London for 3days for her 18th birthday and we're going to see WICKED THE MUSICAL on the first night and BUGSY MALONE THE MUSICAL on the second night and then we'll probably do some shopping and sightseeing as well. Lucky for us my sister lives in London so we have a free place to stay which saves us loads of money.

Anyway, that's enough for now.

I can almost taste summer..

So I sat my last exam today and I've just got to hand in one more piece of work tomorrow and then uni is OVER!!! I am beyond excited because this year has just been pretty awful with uni and I just want it to be over and for summer to officially start.. I'm still on that holiday countdown mode, only 58days to go! So far I've managed to save £1000 for spending money which will give me about $1500 which will be about $100 per day.. I'm obviously hoping to have more than that saved at the end but I think that's a good starting point. I'm just not sure how expensive America is in terms of food and activities and nights out etc as every time I've been to America I've been too young to have to worry about spending money on anything. I just know that I'd rather take too much spending money than too little. I also still debating on what the best method to carry my money is; do I take it all in cash? Do I take some cash and leave the rest in my bank account or do I get some sort of pre paid money card.. Decisions decisions.. Luckily I've still got a while before I need to make a definite decision.
I also still need to buy all my holiday clothes as so far the only thing I've bought is a pair of white low top converse, but I'm really reluctant to buy anything at this stage as I'm still unsure the size I'm going to be when I go on holiday. Of course my goal is to be a size 6, but just incase I don't want to waste my money buying clothes that don't tfit.. I think I'll wait until about June to see what size I am then before I start buying clothes. Then I can see how much weight I've managed to lose in a month.

My Cocowhite teeth whitening oil comes tomorrow and I'm super excited to give it a try and see if my teeth do end up whiter fingers crossed!

Ive also somehow ended up being invited to two birthday nights out on Thursday for two different friends but if I'm being honest I'd rather just skip them both and stay in. It means I'd have to waste money on a night out I don't even want to go on when I could be saving the money for my holiday. Also I have absolutely nothing to wear, especially because of the size I am now and it would mean buying something new to wear just to wear once and then not wearing it again if I lose the weight I want to lose.

Anyway that's all for now.
blog to you soon.

Making changes...

So I finally did it, I rejoined the gym. I only joined on a monthly contract because to be honest after my holiday I probably won't stick it at... But for right now, I'm determined to go to the gym at least three times a week because I want to lose 1&half stone and drop a dress size to be a size 6 again before my holiday in two months time. #getskinnyforsummer I also went and bought some cute Nike workout leggings as some extra motivation to go (my old workout wear was far too PINK for my tastes) and I've booked in to get one of the personal trainers at the gym to make me up a workout programme, hopefully that will help me get fitter quicker.

Speaking of my holiday, I literally can't wait!! It's so exciting, only 61 days to go! It's literally going to be the holiday of a lifetime, the best one I've ever been on. I'm going with my friend Hannah and first we're going to MIAMI for 5days, then we're flying to NEW ORLEANS for 5days and then we're flying to NEW YORK for 5days. It's going to be AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to spend five days laying on a beach in Miami, relaxing and eating tons of seafood and partying at night. I also really want to rollerblade down south beach for some crazy reason. (Think I've watched too many films lol) Then when we get to New Orleans I can't wait to do the St Louis and La Fayette cemetery tours and check out some of the old haunted houses etc.. And of course, listen to some Jazz walking down Bourbon St & Frenchman St and I can't wait to eat a Beignet @ Cafe Du Monde
(I've wanted to try a beignet for as long as I can remember so I'm super excited about that!) and to try Gumbo & Jumbalya and craw fish etc. Then when I get to New York I just can't wait see all the sights I've saw in my favourite films and tv shows and to eat at a food truck and sit on the steps of the Met and do all the fun touristy stuff.
And then of course I can't wait to go shopping, hopefully I'll find some great designer outlet stores.

I also couldn't help myself ( i told you i had a problem!!!) and i ended up buying a super cute Navy handbag from Accessorize and a bottle of the new Limited Edition Marc Jacobs perfume; Daisy Eau So Fresh Sorbet. It smells Amazing. (i think its going to be my new summer scent, its perfect for those sunny happy days) I also really want to whiten my teeth for my holiday (everyone in America has amazing pearly white teeth) so i've decided to give the Cocowhite coconut oil teeth whitening sachets to see if they're any good. I've only ordered two weeks worth to start though incase i don't see results!

Anyway, it's gonna be a pretty amazing holiday for sure and it can't come soon enough!

It's been a hot minute!

So it was payday yesterday, which is of course my second favourite day off the month! (Saas day is obviously my favourite day of the month, you just can't beat free money!!!) anyway, I decided to treat myself and bought two new pairs of low top Converse trainers, one black pair and one white. I also bought myself a load of new bedding (because you just can't beat sleeping in a bed with fresh new bedding.. #littlethings) and treated myself to a Yo! Sushi for lunch.

However, I'm going to try not to spend any more of my money because of course I've got the mega amazing holiday in 67 days!! Super exciting!!!

Speaking of, I'm going to join the gym next week because I am determined to lose 1& a half stone and to drop a dress size back down to a size 6 (like I used to be at my birthday in December, the stress of uni made me snack constantly and I ended up putting weight on and going up to a size 8! Really not happy with myself, I have a problem!) so I can be totally beach body ready. I want to look as good as possible for my holiday. #getskinnyforsummer

I'm also almost finished uni for the year, two deadlines and two exams to go and i'm all done.. and i cannot wait! i'm so OVER uni. I'm still debating whether or not to come back next year to get my Honors degree, or just leave it. Luckily i've still got a while to go before I have to decide that. All I know is this year with uni has been majorly stressful and I don't know if I want to put myself through another year of that.. Decisions decisions..

Anyway, haven't done much lately except go to uni and work, but tomorrow i'm going to the cinema with my neice Emma to see Cinderella, which i've really been looking forward to seeing and i'm treating us both to a Pinto! (they do the most amazing Nachos ever, can't get enough!)

anyway, i think thats enough for now.

Little recap for you..

So it's been over a week since my last post and to be honest I've not been up to much..

Mostly I've worked and went to uni, I'm almost finished this year and I honestly can't see it far enough. It's been such a stressful year for me, especially the past four months and I can't wait for a break from all the stress. Honestly, when people talk about uni, no one mentions the stress and how hard the whole experience is. (They really should mention that when you apply i think!)

Anyway, I did have a night out at the weekend, on Saturday night. It was supposed to be a sub crawl with a few friends but one by one people bailed (so sick of flaky people, why can't you just make a plan and stick to it??) so it ended up just being a few of us on a normal night out. We went to Bar Budda first for a few rounds, then headed to Wetherspoons for a jug of cocktail and then we ended up spending the rest of the night in ABC. That part of the night is mainly a blur to be honest, one too many drinks haha When I get to a certain point in the night I suddenly feel the need to demand that everyone do shots even though the next day I always regret it... And boy did I regret it.
I spent my Easter Sunday absolutely dying! First off I woke up still drunk, and decided to wake my brother up. I proceeded to basically eat inhale and entire bag of mini eggs (I'm absolutely obsessed with eating mini eggs, they are the best!) and then throw them all back up again. I passed out after that for a few hours and then myself and my brother ordered a Domino's whilst we watched Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters and The Black Cauldron. I fell asleep again after that and then ended up watching Netflix until about 2am.. All in all a productive day! Lol

Today I went to Cosmo for lunch, it's a Pan Asian and World Food buffet and I absolutely loved it. It was the first time I've ever been and I ate so much food it was shocking. There was even some stations where they make the food right in front of you and it was so impressive! Will definitely be going back and would for sure recommend it to everyone.. So worth the money!!!!

Anyway, I think that's enough for now.

Best day of the month!!!

So it's PAYDAY today, which to me is totally the best day of the month... There's nothing better than waking up to a nice full bank account (even if once you pay all your bills etc there's not much left) . On any normal pay day, by about this time I would have probably spent about a good third of my wage shopping, but since I've got a mega holiday this summer I've been good relatively good and not really spent that much money... To be fair, I have just purchased two new pair of shoes (the cutest pairs of brogues, on pair in black and one pair in wine, but i need cute new shoes to wear to work so it's okay) which makes that three pairs of shoes I've bought this month (the other is a totally gorgeous pair of high heeled black ankle boots from River Island) ... I told you I had a problem  slightly bad habit.

Anyway, I've got to work tonight and then a full shift Saturday and Sunday which means I won't have time to go shopping and hopefully I can resist the urge to do anymore online shopping... I really need to get saving for my holiday this summer. Only 96 days to go until the holiday of a lifetime, but I'll write more about that next time..

Blog to you soon.

Starting Over...

Decided to start fresh with this blog,

So where to begin?
How about with the basics?

I'm Tanya and I'm  19 (and no i'm not in denial) 21 years old. I honestly don't know how I came to be 21 already, like literally yesterday I was so excited to be turning 18. (Finally legal and all that nonsense) .. Its safe to say there was no such excitement about turning 21. More like serious depression. The only really good thing about turning 21 is that I can now go off to America and go out drinking and clubbing.. nothing else!

I'm a full time student at university in my third year studying Marketing and I can honestly say that uni stresses me out to no end. Whoever said uni life was an easy life was lying! I mean sure getting discounts everywhere on everything is great and you get a lot of time off.. but the work is hard. like so HARD, no one tells you just how hard it is. and its so stressful and I know that I'm far too young to be so stressed.. but I am, like all the time. Anyone currently at uni in either third or fourth year can totally relate! And I mentioned time off, but all that time off is spent either working or doing uni work (when i say doing uni work, what i actually mean is binge watching Netflix and feeling guilty about all the uni work i'm supposed to be doing).

I also work part time in Superdry. i'm a sales assistant, but last summer i got a small, i guess promotion? which means that i'm at a higher level that most of the other sales assistant. This means i have more responsibility, a higher contract and most importantly.. I get paid more!! The job is pretty good compared to the other ones I've had, the work is pretty straight forward and I'm actually really good at it. (just last week my supervisor told me that i was one of the best staff in the shop.. Gold star for Tanya!!) I guess it can get a little monotonous and dealing with people all day can get frustrating, especially when i'm not in the mood or the customers are annoying/stupid/rude. Basically, its not my forever job, but its pretty good for right now.

In my spare time i tend to watch A LOT of Netflix (like i probably spend too much of my free time watching Netflix, but how can i help it when there's so many good shows on it, i'd like to meet someone who doesn't watch Netflix!) or i shop... actually i SHOP!!. Shopping is a bad seriously bad habit of mine, its the one thing that can always cheer me up. I love spending money and coming home with gorgeous new things. especially shoes! Shoes are my addiction.. It doesn't really matter what kind, i just love to buy shoes (trainers, pumps, heels, boots, whatever) and i probably buy at least one new pair a month minimum.. I actually don't know how many shoes i own, i just know its A LOT!!

anyway, i think that's enough about me for right now.
